Janitorial Services

JANITORIAL SERVICES: 

An outside contractor services The Bank of America Center Building Monday – Friday evenings.  The scope of daily services include:

  • vacuuming all high traffic areas (nightly), complete vacuuming (weekly)
  • dusting all horizontal surfaces (weekly)
  • sweeping and mopping all tile, marble, and wood floors (nightly)
  • emptying all desk side, break room, and copy room trashcans (nightly)
  • wiping down of all break room tables and counter tops (nightly)
  • sanitizing all bathrooms (nightly)

Janitorial day staff personnel also check restrooms during the business hours.  These rooms are restocked nightly and as needed during the day.  If you have any special cleaning needs such as VIP’s visiting or carpet spot cleaning, please contact Building Management.  In the event of any spills during the day please contact Building Management (804) 343-9791 or for Bank of America associates, contact the Customer Solution Center at(800) 698-4400 to dispatch cleaning personnel.  If any items are missed in nightly cleaning please feel free to contact Building Management first thing to make sure it gets recorded and corrected for future night cleaning.  Good Housekeeping is an important part of tenant services and suggestions for improvements are always welcome. The management staff as part of our commitment to our tenants will complete inspections with the janitorial area manager to ensure that the above noted items are complete as well as address any additional needs that may arise.

TRASH REMOVAL:                                             

If you wish to dispose of trash other than by using your desk side trash can, do NOT write “trash” or “garbage” on the item(s).  Please inform the cleaning personnel of your request by placing an orange “TRASH / BASURA” sticker on the item.  The majority of the after hours cleaning staff do not speak or read English, and these bilingual stickers are used to communicate trash removal.  These stickers are distributed to all tenants and are available upon request from Building Management free of charge.  Please DO NOT leave items that are not trash on top of any trashcans.  Also, trash should not be stored in hallways or any of the service elevator lobbies.   This may result in a hazardous situation by restricting free egress in the event of an emergency situation.
